We’re thrilled to share some amazing news: For the Breast of Us has been named Best Team in the 2025 Social Health Awards by the Social Health Network!
This recognition is more than just a trophy- it’s a powerful affirmation of the work we’ve been doing since day one: building a safe, inclusive, and empowering space for Women of Color impacted by breast cancer.
Founded in 2019, For the Breast of Us was created because too often, the unique voices and experiences of Women of Color were missing from mainstream breast cancer conversations. Through our pillars of Making spACE (Advocacy, Community, and Education), we’ve worked to change that by creating platforms like Breast Cancer BaddieCon, our Baddie2Baddie podcast, Baddie 2 Baddie, the Baddie Ambassador Program, and storytelling projects like The Naked Truth and #WhenYouSeeUs.
This award belongs to our entire community – the previvors, survivors, thrivers, caregivers, and allies who share their stories, advocate for equity, and show up for one another every day. Together, we are rewriting what survivorship looks like for Women of Color and proving that representation saves lives.
We’re honored to stand alongside so many incredible advocates recognized this year. And we’re more fired up than ever to keep pushing for equity in breast cancer care, amplifying our voices, and making sure Women of Color feel seen, heard, and celebrated.
To our Baddies: this win is for YOU. Thank you for trusting us with your stories, your strength, and your sisterhood.
