For the Breast of us

Our Mission

A cancer diagnosis changes everything.

As a woman of color facing the biggest battle of your life, where do you even start looking for support or stories that resonate?

You might hit up the internet, hoping to find stories and faces of those who’ve battled through treatment and come out the other side looking like you.

But sometimes, it feels like you’re searching for a needle in a haystack. You scroll through your socials, looking for that spark of hope from others who are fighting the good fight or have danced in victory, but it’s like something’s missing.

Enter “For the Breast of Us.” We’re all about lighting that spark and filling in those gaps. Our whole vibe is to empower women of color who are dealing with breast cancer to live their best lives ever, from here on out. We’re talking education that opens your eyes, advocacy that gives you a voice, and a community that feels like home.

We don’t just talk the talk, we walk the walk, to empower women of color affected by breast cancer to make the rest of their lives the best of their lives through education, advocacy and community.

Where Hope Meets Action

In the heart of our mission lies a simple, yet profound belief: every woman of color facing breast cancer deserves a community that sees her, understands her, and empowers her. For the Breast of Us is more than a platform; it’s a movement dedicated to breaking down barriers, illuminating paths, and building bridges of support and empowerment for women of color navigating through their breast cancer journey.

Our Story

For the Breast of Us was born from a desire to fill a glaring void – the lack of representation and resources tailored to the unique experiences of women of color with breast cancer. Frustrated by the scarcity of stories, images, and support systems that reflected their realities, our founders envisioned a space where every woman could find connection, strength, and hope.

Today, we stand as a testament to what can be achieved when we come together to support, educate, and advocate for one another.

What We Do

EDUCATE: From understanding your diagnosis to navigating treatment options and survivorship, our resources are designed to empower you with knowledge.

ADVOCATE: We’re on the front lines, fighting for policy changes, healthcare equity, and representation in breast cancer research and awareness.

BUILD COMMUNITY: Through our private Facebook group, local meetups, and events, we’re building a community where women can share their stories, find support, and inspire each other.

Meet The Team

Behind For the Breast of Us is a passionate team of survivors, advocates, and allies.

We’re educators, healthcare professionals, and community leaders who believe in the power of sharing our stories and the strength found in community.
