For some strange reason, putting myself first seems selfish. It wasn’t until my aunt passed that I realized I have to put myself first.
“We do what we gotta do to live, Sis,” she would often tell me. She was right and together, we did what we had to do to survive.
So, here I am, two years out since getting the all clear, and now I’m faced with one more hurdle… total hysterectomy.
