Say Bye-Bye to Nipple Freak Out*

We have all had those moments where you are trying to smooth out those foam inserts so that they appear normal. It sucks and can be time consuming. The fact that Cakes will maintain their structure, easy to clean, & are reusable is a major plus. They feel very natural and fit in place easily. I would recommend Cakes to all. I think that this is an awesome brand that all women can utilize. I had a lumpectomy on my left breast after being diagnosed in 2019 with Stage 3 Invasive Ductal breast cancer. I hope as Cakes builds their brand, that they seek to be more inclusive & have representation. Hopefully, they will aim to have more sizes for smaller & larger breast women & more skin colors. I feel that they are off to a great start with their current selection.

Wow, Wow, Wow, was my reaction to trying the Cakes for the first time. I was amazed at how easily they cupped my small breasts. They are comfortable to wear and easy to forget that I am even wearing them! I have a few sports bras with no padding that I would only wear around the house because of my nipples showing through. Now I can wear them confidently with the Cakes anywhere. This also allows me to buy cute sports bras that I wouldn’t have before because of no padding. I sweat profusely when I exercise, especially on my long runs so I was concerned the Cakes would irritate and cut through my skin. Surprisingly they don’t. The Cakes are perfect in size and thickness. I have the Caramel colored cakes that match my skin tone except for the breast area, which is much lighter.

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I had a nipple-sparing single mastectomy of my left breast with DIEP Flap reconstruction. My nipples prominently show how unsymmetrical my breasts are. The padding that comes with the sports bras would enhance them. The Cakes help make them look symmetrical. I love them! Thank you Taylor & Casey for designing this product.

I have never used a product, LOVED a product, so quickly as much as I have loved my CAKES! They have
literally opened up a whole new wardrobe for me within my own closet.
After I had my bilateral mastectomy in 2017, I decided on immediate DIEP flap reconstruction. During
the process of explaining to me some of the intricacies of the surgery, my plastic surgeon mentioned
that my nipples would always be at attention – um, excuse me? She explained that there’s a specific
type of nerve cells that exist just to make the nipples erect. When these nerves are removed, nipples
continue to stay erect and never contract. I didn’t think it would be a big deal, besides, I heard
repeatedly from my doctors how fortunate I was to have been able to keep my nipples after surgery.
While I found the newfound freedom of not having to wear a bra liberating, I began to become very self-
conscious of my nipples poking through everything I wore. I could disguise it by wearing tops with prints
on them, but anytime I had something that was solid colored there was no hiding it. I’d bought all kinds
of new tops to match my new body, but they hung in my closet, untouched, because I couldn’t wear
them without a bra, and if I did wear a bra, it would show.
I was pretty skeptical when I received my CAKES – they claim to not only hide your nipples, but also to
stick to your body without any adhesive AND not show through clothing. I tested them with dresses
(both loose fitting and fitted), tank tops, and t-shirts. And I can honestly say I’m in love!!!!! I have finally
found something that truly works! I can wear a small, strappy tank top, without a bra, and not have
either of my nipples show. I feel like I’ve bought new clothes because I can wear so many things in my
closet I didn’t feel comfortable wearing before. They’re small and thinner on the outer edges so they do
disappear under clothing, but they don’t provide much support, which isn’t an issue for my smaller
breasts. I do have some mild “deformities” due to radiation and necrotic tissue; I also haven’t closed my
“windows” so there is a small flap of skin underneath each of my breasts. The CAKES have to have their
entire surface stuck to your skin to stay, so it took me a bit to figure out how to properly position them.
Once I did, they were perfect!
I can’t tell you how happy I am to be able to feel so much more confident in the clothing I wear. I highly
recommend these products and I know you’ll love them as much as I do!
