Many times I expected people to know what kind of support I needed. But I realize now, I didn’t know what kind of support I needed. As soon as I was diagnosed, people would offer to help, but I never knew exactly what to tell them. I lost myself. I never truly knew the extent of help I would need.
The first time I heard the words breast cancer, I was a little girl. I had no idea what that really meant or of the the impact that these two words would later have in my life.
I really think it’s important to have people by your side, it helps you to get through. You know you have people out there that are fighting with you.
