Three Nonprofits that Support Breast Cancer Baddies in Business

Baddies, we know and understand all too well the quick life changes that occur due to a breast cancer diagnosis. Our professional lives come to the forefront as we learn to navigate the workplace during and after active treatment, experience unexpected job loss or decreased wages, and transition to more fulfilling careers. Here are three nonprofits that provide financial assistance to breast cancer survivors and thrivers for small business and work-related expenses:

Cancer and Careers

Cancer and Careers Financial Assistance Grant is a $500 grant for cancer patients and survivors experiencing financial challenges to use toward bills, technology, skill development, or training. Deadline: Ongoing

Cancer and Careers Professional Micro-Grant offers cancer patients and survivors up to $1,000 in financial assistance for professional development opportunities that will enable them to enhance or build new skills. Deadline: Closed for 2021

Hope for Young Adults with Cancer

Hope for Young Adults with Cancer’s “Giving Hope Fund” helps young adults in active treatment and those in remission for up to five years pay for necessities they encounter in everyday life. Grant recipients can apply financial assistance to rent and mortgage payments, cell phone and credit card bills, clothing, work, educational-related materials, medical bills, and prescription co-pays. Deadline: Not accepting applications at this time

Keep A Breast Foundation

The Keep A Breast Foundation Give Back grant gives $500 to BIPOC women who are breast cancer survivors or diagnosed with breast cancer. The Give Back grants can support medical treatment, alternative care, living expenses, small business investment, and self-care. Deadline: November 1, 2021
